A Journey from Chronic Pain to Holistic Wellness
Raised on a farm with my grandparents, I learned about natural remedies early on.
My grandmother brewed healing teas from our garden, which became my go-to remedy whenever I fell ill. Influenced by a great medicine man in our village, known as ‘tatay Baglan,’ who was also a close family member, I hold immense respect for all his work.
Living in Europe, I moved away from these roots. But after having my child, I struggled with chronic back pain that no treatment could ease, until a Thai massage in Madrid changed everything. The therapist’s skillful touch led me to a major life change.
I went to Thailand to study traditional massage and herbal medicine at Watpo medical school, learning about the different healing practices in various parts of Thailand.
Finding Balance and Deepening Healing Practices
My exploration didn’t end yet. Seeking deeper healing, I studied Asian Bio-energetic Therapy (ABET) in Thailand, a blend of Chinese, Japanese, and Tibetan healing, focusing on the idea that we all have natural healing abilities, improved by specific breathing techniques.
This led me to study nutrition based on the principles of yin and yang in Chinese medicine, focusing on achieving balance.
Discovering Reiki
A dream led me to discover Reiki, a healing method founded by Dr. Mikao Usui. Despite my doubts, I trained in Reiki in a rural center in Chiangmai, where meditation helped me find peace and self-awareness.
Becoming attuned to Reiki enabled me to assist others. I have provided treatments to cancer patients, in psychiatric hospitals, and even to animals—profoundly rewarding work that motivated my return to Thailand to become a Reiki master-teacher.
This journey showed me the power of balance in healing, not just for myself but in helping others achieve wellness through traditional and holistic methods.
